Last time we posted we mentioned a new learning activity we had started called "ReadTheory". Our enthusiasm for this has only grown since then. We now race to the computers to try to get on ReadTheory before school and during wet morning teas and lunches. We are advancing quickly even though the questions can get really hard (it was founded by a philosophy teacher). We highly recommend that other schools have a look at this free, online resource. If you want to view the website click
here. We hope you enjoy it as much as we are!

We have also learnt how to use the hyphen (technically a dash) correctly in our writing. It it a useful piece of punctuation that kept popping up in our reading. We also learnt the uses of short sentences and how they can add effect to our writing. We have been doing HEAPS of writing in class and some of it is amazing!!
This is only a snippet of what we have been doing during the week. Stay tuned for more next week.
Thank you for sharing this site with us. I had not heard of ReadTheory before and think it has some really interesting excerpts to read for meaning. I will be interested to know more about it. What do your learners think about it? Could they reply in the comments in this blog? Thank you, Seniors.
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh, ReadTheory has been very good for us, it has helped us in our comprehension test and has encouraged us to read more. We like that we can go on it at school and home and the fact that we can level up. Thank you for the comment we hope to hear more from you.
