Last Friday afternoon some of the seniors went to soccer at Cherry grove. It was our semi final game against Mananui School, it was time to put all our training to use. The horn went and it was time to play. Seven of us rushed on the field including our star goalie (Kahu). It was a great first half with us scoring us first goal from one of our best players (Herewini). We ran off for half time and talked strategy. The horn went for the second half so we subbed on some other of our best we all went onto the field and got into position. Mananui soon struck but didn't get a goal. The end of the game was approaching and Herewini was heading towards the goal with the ball and all of a sudden shot and scored just after the horn although it didn't count went still won. Finals are in two weeks and we hope to be in for 1st and 2nd.

I know you are looking forward to your game next week, you are playing St Pats Flyers for 5th/6th at 4:20.
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Carmichael, thank-you for your comment. We were surprised to be playing for 5th and 6th because we only lost one game. Maybe there were other teams that won all of there games. We are looking forward to playing St Pats this Friday.
