Making Butter

Throughout the third term, the students at Ongarue school have been intrigued by "Pioneers and Settlers", therefor, the kids wanted to make some bread. And considering you read the title, you probably can tell what I am going to say, we made butter! In this blog, I am going to "explain" to you how to make "homemade" butter in an easy [] step guide! Before you go crazy and make some butter, you are going to need some things, like a bowl and a fork/whisk.

Step 1:
Get some cream, either store bought or homemade, whichever one tickles your fancy.

Step 2:
Pour the cream into the bowl, depending on how much you pour into the bowl, you will get about 50% butter and 50% buttermilk.

Step 3:
Mix the butter for around 3-5 minutes, yet again, depending on how much you pour into the bowl, estimate how long it will take.

Step 4:
After mixing for a while, you should begin to get clumps of butter-looking things, keep mixing until they have clumped together.

Step 5:
When all the butter has clumped together, slowly pour out the buttermilk into a different container, and slowly extract the butter and place it onto a plate.

Step 6:
Let the butter cool, and enjoy!

And that is how you make butter!
