The Math Equation

Today a senior from Ongarue School figured out the Volume of the P.E shed that we have. He figure out the length, width and height. This is the equation he had to figure out:
The figuring out for the roof (harder than it looks!)
Equation:

  • Length = 6.81m
  • Width = 5.57m
  • Height (cube/box) = 2.58m
  • Height (roof) = 3.22m

Length x Width x Height = Cube Volume
6.81 x 5.57 x 2.58 = 97.86m3
Length x Height of triangle    or      6.81 x 3.22 = 21.92 divided by 2 = 10.91 x 6.81 = 74.29m3
                   2                                      2

97.86m3 + 74.29m3 = Volume/172.15m3

Complicated, I know...

  2. Thanks Erica. That is a very nice thing to say. It is complicated, but one day you will be able to do this too!
